Carte postale, 1937, Ballester, Ministère de la communication, Les enfants cultivent le jardin au printemps

The text would be an extract of a poem of A. Machado (who we remind died during the retirada in a cattle wagon near Perpignan). Map stemming from a series of six published by the government of Valencia, in the service of the youth care and especially the children having run away the front. The illustrations are of V. Ballester and the texts of the poet Antonio Machado. A very naturalistic and soft graphics adapted to tackled issues. Ballester drew several times on this theme.
